Peer Pay
Payments for marketplaces, creators, and cross-border sellers
Custodial platforms treat marketplaces, creator platforms, and international sellers as categories to manage, and the management shows up as held payouts, reserves, country lists, and closed accounts. Peer Pay is checkout software, not another processor: buyers pay in everyday apps, a cryptographic proof verifies each payment, and USDC settles to a wallet the seller controls. Nobody in the middle is holding the money, so there is nothing to freeze.
Who this serves
- Marketplace operators running a venue where independent sellers meet buyers, tired of being the custodian of everyone’s money.
- Creator platforms and independent creators whose earnings sit as a balance on someone else’s books between payout days.
- Cross-border sellers in the Temu and AliExpress mold: selling into the US from outside the country lists the mainstream platforms serve.
The cycle sellers on platforms know
None of it reflects your business. It is how custodial payments treat categories they would rather not carry:
- Flagged. The category or the country gets marked restricted, by a platform, a processor, or a bank upstream that nobody names.
- Held. Payouts pause for review. Your earnings sit as a balance on someone else’s books, visible and untouchable.
- Closed. The account ends with money still inside, released on a schedule you do not set.
- Repeat. New platform or provider, same custody, same ending.
A different shape: nobody holds the money
Every hold, reserve, and freeze in that cycle requires a middleman with your money in its hands. Peer Pay removes the middleman. It is checkout software, not a processor or merchant account: the buyer pays the seller directly, a cryptographic proof verifies the payment, and Peer never holds, controls, or transmits the money. There is no balance to freeze and no rolling reserve, and there is no payout schedule because there is no payout: the money is already yours.
- Verified, not trusted. Payments verify by cryptographic proof in under 15 seconds, before the order is marked paid.
- Settled to you. USDC lands in a self-custodial wallet you own and control, the moment the proof verifies. No US bank account required to receive it.
- Familiar for buyers. Buyers pay in everyday apps across 40+ currencies. Nothing to install, no crypto on their side.
- One-way settlement. Verified funds are final. Refunds are transactions you initiate from the dashboard, not disputes filed against you.
$0 setup fees, no monthly minimums, and more than $20M settled through the Peer protocol.
How a payment works
- Share a checkout. A payment link, your store’s checkout, or a QR code in person.
- The buyer pays in their own app. Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, PayPal, Revolut, Wise, Monzo, Chime, Mercado Pago, Alipay and more.
- Proof verifies the payment. A cryptographic proof confirms it in under 15 seconds, and the order is marked paid.
- USDC settles to your wallet. Self-custodial, yours immediately. No holds, no payout day.
Fits how you sell
- Payment links. Create an order in the dashboard and share the link anywhere: DMs, bio, chat, invoice.
- WooCommerce. Drop the gateway plugin into an existing store.
- Shopify. Connect your storefront.
- SDK and embedded checkout. Docs, SDK and sandbox for your own site or marketplace listing pages.
- Telegram bot. Type /request to create a payment link. No code.
- Scan to Pay. A QR code for in-person sales: events, meetups, markets.

FAQ
Is Peer Pay a payment processor for creators and marketplaces?
No. Peer Pay is checkout software, not a payment processor, gateway, or merchant account. Payments move directly from the buyer to the seller, verified by cryptographic proof; Peer never holds, controls, or transmits the money.
I sell into the US from another country. Can I use Peer Pay?
Peer Pay is available to lawful businesses wherever they operate. Your US customers pay with the apps already on their phones, and USDC settles to a self-custodial wallet you control, with no US bank account required to receive it. Tax, customs, and local rules stay yours.
Does Peer Pay work for selling on Temu, AliExpress, or Amazon?
Not inside those checkouts: marketplace platforms require their own payment flow. Peer Pay powers the channels you control, your own store, payment links, and direct sales, which is how sellers keep revenue moving when a platform holds a balance or closes an account.
Which apps can buyers pay with?
Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, PayPal, Revolut, Wise, Monzo, Chime, Mercado Pago and Alipay, across 40+ currencies. Nothing new to install and no crypto on the buyer's side.
Can my funds be frozen or held?
There is no balance to freeze. Payments verify in under 15 seconds and USDC settles directly to a self-custodial wallet you control. No holding periods, no rolling reserves, no payout schedule.
Does Peer Pay pay out my marketplace's sellers or split payments?
No. Peer Pay is pay-in checkout, not a payout or escrow service. On a marketplace, each seller runs their own checkout and is paid directly by the buyer; commissions are a separate arrangement between you and your sellers.
How do refunds and chargebacks work?
Settlement is one-way: once a payment verifies, the funds are the seller's. Refunds exist, as separate transactions the seller initiates from the dashboard, never as disputes filed against the seller.
